OMC brakeaway coumplings

A specialized safety device that automatically shuts off fluid or gas flow and safely disconnects a hose or pipe if an excessive pull or tension load.

Our safety breakaway couplings, unlike the quick couplings, are applied to bottom loading or unloading arms so that, in case of accidental departure of the vehicles, the flow of the product gets immediately interrupted and the arm remains disconnected, thus avoiding damages to the bay structures. What unites them with the valved quick couplings, as well as the main application on bottom loading arms, is the protection of the environment in terms of reducing accidental product leakage. The valves used on OMC loading arms have diverse main sealing materials suitable for different purposes of use, including Viton® (FKM) for “bio” or low-temperature products and Kalrez® (FFKM) for particularly aggressive fluids.
