ISOIL SBM150DEP Gravity Meter Skid

Metering Equipment ISOIL

Gravity-unloading skid with SBM 150 PD meter, strainer, balance pipe, vent pipe, trolley frame and quick couplings for tank-truck to underground-tank transfer.

The system consists of an SBM 150 Positive Displacement (PD) Meter complete with a strainer, balance pipe, and vent pipe for air elimination, all mounted on a four-wheel trolley for easy mobility. The meter is connected through two quick couplings. One side is connected to the tank truck via a flexible hose, while the other side is connected to the underground storage tank through a second flexible hose. Air-Free Measurement To prevent air from being measured during the transfer operation, the system incorporates a balance pipe. The balance pipe is approximately 1 meter higher than the maximum liquid level inside the tank truck, allowing the system to maintain the meter completely filled with liquid throughout the unloading process. Two sight glasses, installed at the inlet strainer and outlet collector, allow the operator to visually verify the presence of liquid in the meter before and after the discharge operation. Once the tank truck discharge valve is opened, the liquid flows by gravity through the meter, which begins measuring the transferred quantity. At the same time, the vent pipe and balance pipe fill with liquid up to the level of the liquid inside the tank truck. As the tank truck is progressively emptied, the liquid level decreases. However, the specially designed meter manifold ensures that the meter remains completely filled with liquid throughout the entire unloading process, including at the end of the discharge. At the end of delivery, the liquid remaining in the downstream hose is evacuated by air entering through the balance pipe, ensuring efficient emptying of the hose while maintaining accurate and reliable measurement.
